House Closing

Dear Family,

Tim and I went to Goodfield this afternoon and had the closint on the house. The keys are turned in and so it is no more mine. It is a relief but is also a funny feeling. It has been a part of my life since 1959. I think they will enjoy it. Just remember all the good times we had there. Love, Mom

Congrats on your closing.
So glad it went well.

It is a big step - but also a big relief. And it's great that you are settled into your new home.

And yes, we have lots and lots of great memories there.

After the closing, we ate at Busy Corner (thanks, Mom), and Mom said, "I wonder what Dad would think." We all 3 agreed that he would be very pleased, both that Mom is well situated with fewer worries, and at the young family that bought the house.

Many people don't remain in the same house that all the children and all the grandchildren will always remember. I'm sure we'll have many memories to talk about for years to come. Especially Christmas traditions.

Mom,
You did good! I can imagine that this was a bittersweet time in your life, but I agree on many points. I know Dad is smiling and pleased that you have gotten settled in the apartment where help is nearby, friends close and the upkeep less consuming. I also know he is thrilled that there will be children living in the house, a family making it their home just as you did over the years. Many more memories will be made there, yet many memories will never be forgotten either! I entered your family in that house and it will always hold a special place in my heart! Our children know that home and will remember it always as grandma and grandpa Hohulin's house! Now...I cherish the fact that you are where you are, in a spacious home where new memories are being made. I relax knowing you don't have to manage the house by yourself any longer ......and even more....I wish my parents were where you are! My prayers are with you. Love you, Connie
